It's a bit of a fixer upper. And my commute is growing. But it will be worth it if we have our own space and can enjoy some country livin.

You mean you found a garage and it has attached living space? Cool.

Nice! I bought a fixer upper last year, still not fixed up. Haha.

I tried to steer as far away from Dc as possible. Stuff is batshit expensive out there.

How country? Does it at least have a gas line or do you have to take propane deliveries?

Well, working in Reston, it's either pay through the nose, or find a place you like more towards the country and bite the bullet on the commute. We chose Rt 7.

Says forced air heating on the listing. Doesn't specify which. Good thinking. I'll have to check.

I'm in the same boat. I was trying to find an affordable place. I didn't want to move to S. Maryland, I know people who are having a terrible time down there.

I just found a cheap enough place in Nova.

Well, I'm from Winchester. So these prices always put me on my ass. Luckily, there's tons of old farm houses on 7. Lol.

I'm originally from Nola. Where I could buy a nicer house, Haha.

I got a fairly good deal for a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom with a collapsing garage, so I'm happy.

What in the world is a collapsing garage? Lol

The roof is slightly caving in. All that means is Pre-Fab time!

Ah. I thought it was a type of design lol. And yes! Detached pre-fab is the way to go.

Haha, A three car detached Pre-Fab would be great.

The lady friend however, wants to fix the old one car.

Build a detached 3-car with a loft over it. She gets mad, you sleep in the loft. Problem solved :D

Congrats dude! If it's in the country you can build an entire barn/shop for cars. Right? Right. 3...2...1... Build!
